Anne Springs Close Greenway is an 2,100-acre protected natural area in Fort Mill, SC comprised of lakes, forests, and pastures that includes trails for hiking, biking, kayaking, and horseback riding. DbD partnered with the greenway to produce a promotional video advertising their brand story, unique facility, and property. Ann Close Greenway is in a conservation easement, but it will be preserved forever for low impact recreation. The natural spaces of the Greenway serve as a green buffer to the urban life of nearby Charlotte, NC, and it has been designed to feel like an extension of people’s backyards, giving them several ways to connect to nature. The video’s purpose was to highlight this “why,” and share with the public why Ms. Close was inspired to create the property. The Greenway offers new infrastructure as well as programs and activities for the public like the Greenway Race Series and Summer Concert Series. From dog walking to mountain biking, equestrian lessons to stand-up paddleboard rentals, there is something for everyone at Ann Close Greenway, and the video’s inspiring message encourages viewers to get outside and connect with nature.

DBD is proud to produce a new video on "The Factory" in Rutherfordton, NC. This hands-on maker space where youth will become part of an environment where they can have ideas, meet friends and make cool things. This interactive maker space features tools and technologies such as Laser Cutters, 3-D Printers, Computers and CNC-Robots. Our maker space technicians and guides will help transform your ideas into reality through fun hands-on project experiences. The Factory is a new division of KidSenses, which is designed for youth ages 11 and up. We have launched a 1.4 million-dollar capital campaign to secure a permanent home for The Factory. While fundraising is underway, we invite you to preview The Factory at the Woodrow Jones Community Hall, located just one block south of KidSenses Children’s Museum.

Downtown Boone is the heart of the North Carolina High Country, and arguably one of the top leisure destinations in the state. Until now, the downtown never had a compelling visual identity to call their own, or one that could adequately capture the imaginations of locals and visitors alike. A new brand was needed to exemplify exactly why people love Downtown Boone so much. Destination by Design (DbD) created a fun, soulful expression of Boone’s easy-going, mountain vibe at 3,330 feet in elevation. Everyone can “Live it Up” in Downtown Boone! As part of the project DbD also presented the Town of Boone with a rendering and vision to create a massive logo mural on Depot Street in Downtown Boone. The mural concept was met with excitement by the community, the property owner agreed, and an underwriter helped make the project happen. Through a series of consultations with the branding committee and one public meeting, we reviewed previous community and stakeholder research, established three conceptual design directions, brainstormed and considered multiple tag lines, and refined chosen concepts to arrive at a successful brand for Downtown. Final deliverables also included community engagement workshops to gather opinions on variations of the proposed brand and tag lines, a brand style guide, as well as business card, envelope, and letterhead designs for the Downtown Boone Development Association.

We were excited to produce this video application for the town of Spindale, NC to appear on HGTV's new Home Town Takeover television show. This was filmed in 1 day by Destination By Design's communications team with a very quick turn-around. As you can see there's a ton of opportunity for HGTV & Ben & Erin in this little mountain nook.
